Nemours is seeking a Network Analyst (Telecom Support) Full-Time, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.

The Network Analyst position is a technical specialist role responsible for day to day operation as well project management in support of the network infrastructure and associated services.  The Network Analyst provides consultation for the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions within the company’s telecommunications environment which includes network, telephony, and video communication environments.

This position requires specialized skills and knowledge of software and hardware networking solutions, a comprehensive understanding of the company’s applications, unified communication system integration, and the ability to understand and anticipate clinical, business, customer, system, process, and project impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, test, and install switches, firewalls, routers and gateways, video and audio conferencing environments, and video and audio conferencing endpoint solutions.
  • Implement, maintain, and support telephony and contact center telecommunications environments and related systems and solutions.
  • Perform routine systems tasks (upgrades, back-ups, etc) and resolve assigned Help Desk tickets in a manner consistent with service level guidelines and Nemours customer service expectations.
  • Interact with customers and establish customer relationships to gather and analyze customer needs, assess available resources and determine optimal solutions.
  • Coordinate vendors, maintenance, and upgrades to minimize downtime and/or impact on end users.
  • Assist with the design, development and implementation of data, voice, and video services that will be used to support the Enterprise and its satellites, coordinating with members of other enterprise functional teams to ensure departmental goals are supported.
  • Monitor, analyze and correct system errors and initiate service calls as required.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze system resources to ensure optimal performance, applying system level patches or upgrades as necessary and coordinating system backups to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Administer user accounts and security access, providing documentation and training to users prior to implementation of new accounts and/or products, as necessary.
  • Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned by employee’s supervisor.
  • Provides on-call off hours support as needed.

Performance Skills

  • Advanced technical knowledge on routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, and access technologies and protocols (Nexus, Catalyst, ASA, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VPC, VDC, VRF, VSS, VoIP, etc)
  • Strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of incident management, lifecycle management and capacity planning.
  • Vendor and carrier management in the delivery of communication services.
  • Strong problem solving and network troubleshooting.
  • Good working knowledge of network design, implementation, configuration, and performance tuning of WAN, LAN, and WLAN.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required plus 1 year of training beyond high school.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience required.
  • Experience with installation, operation and troubleshooting small enterprise or branch office networks, including basic network security setup and operation.  
  • CCNA in Routing and Switching; CCNA in Wireless, CCNA in DataCenter or CCDA preferred.
