As an RN Coordinator with Ascension Seton, you will have the opportunity to coordinate nursing program activities and resources within a clinical specialty or department. You will be an integral member of the Pediatric Cleft lip and Cleft palate team. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care; our team works collaboratively in establishing patient goals to ensure effective outcomes. Strong communication skills are important in interacting with our patients and their families as well as with our healthcare team. As the coordinator you will be the liaison for the patient/family throughout the continuum of care, providing support from the prenatal period to young adulthood. You will coordinate the prenatal visit and counseling, hospital consultations, coordinating the cleft team evaluation, patient and family education, pre-and post-operative care and case management for families. We are looking for an RN with clinical experience and offer professional growth by participating in learning activities with well-known physicians.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
Develop and document care plans and therapy programs.
Oversee and ensure plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated. Ensure necessary resources and/or equipment is obtained as ordered.
May supervise and direct nursing staff.
Coordinate, assemble, and maintain documentation as required.
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
Education:
Diploma
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
Work Experience:
2 years of experience with Pediatric Cleft lip and Cleft Palate patients, outpatient clinic preferred.
