Virtual Registered Nurse Hiring Fair

Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby

Date/Time: Wednesday, January 20, 2020 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm

*$10,000 Sign-On Bonus

We are growing! The OB Unit at VWCH is looking for L&D and Mother/Baby RNs to join our team! Experienced RNs can meet virtually with Nursing Leaders to discuss RN opportunities at the Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, TN. One year Labor and Delivery or Mother/Baby RN experience required. Qualified candidates can apply below to receive a scheduled interview time and ZOOM interview link.

Role Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. Reports directly to the Clinical Director of the unit. This position works in conjunction with other members of nursing service, ancillary services, physicians, patients, and families. It collaborates with various members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care across the continuum. Requires the ability to be self-directed and quality focused. Interpersonal communication skills are a necessary function of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
  • Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
  • Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
  • The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

Department/Unit Summary:

The OB department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital is a 18 bed unit, which consists of 12 post-partum beds and 6 labor beds. Alternating self-scheduling. 5 weekend shifts required every 6 weeks. 2 on-call shifts required every 6 weeks.

Positions and Shifts Available:

  • Labor & Delivery RN (Nights) - One year L&D experience required. BLS and Fetal Monitoring Certification Required; ACLS, PALS Preferred.
  • Mother/Baby RN (Nights) - One year Mother/Baby experience required. NICU Experience Preferred. BLS Required; ACLS, PALS Preferred.
