Coastal Children's Services, PLLC (CCS), a regional pediatric subspecialty group located in southeastern North Carolina, is looking  for a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join the team in the Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending high risk deliveries
  • Consulting on sick patients in the newborn nursery
  • Managing Level II patients in the NICU
  • Providing care in the newborn nursery, as needed

Procedures include:

  • Umbilical lines
  • Peripheral arterial lines
  • Percutaneous central venous lines
  • Thoracentesis
  • Chest tubes
  • Intubation

Neonatology supervision is available at all times. After hours, NNPs alternate call (not in-house) with the neonatologist.

  • 2 years as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
  • Board certified by the National Certification Corporation
  • Eligible for licensure as a NNP in North Carolina
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Completion Card
  • Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Building a Healthy Community, One Child at a Time Coastal Children’s Services located in Wilmington, North Carolina, serves patients up to age 18 with complex conditions in multiple hospitals and outpatient clinics across southeastern North Carolina in the areas of Pediatric Cardiology, Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Neonatology, Neurology, Pulmonology and Newborn Care. Our caring and compassionate pediatric professionals are trained for all levels of treatment required by young patients. Neonatology care is provided by Coastal Carolina Neonatology (CCN) in Wilmington, North Carolina, a division of Coastal Children’s Services. Our physicians and nurse practitioners provide neonatal medical services at the Betty H. Cameron Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Onslow Memorial Hospital, The Naval Hospital at Camp LeJeune and Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Our neonatology staff consists of 7 Neonatologists and 18 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP). The medical team is trained and skilled in the care of critically ill newborns, and provides neonatal intensive care services for the region. ?
