Seeking to strengthen your nursing skills in Oncology Nursing
You will:
Work within a Nurse-Physician based outpatient practice model
Interact with patients in a clinic setting to providing direct care and clinical support
Handle a select caseload of patients receiving infusions on an outpatient basis
Administer Chemotherapy/biotherapy/blood products/supportive medications
Perform patient assessment, offer patient and family education, and symptom management
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care treatment plans and provide continuity of care throughout
Participate in the implementation of clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
You need:
New York State RN license
BSN
1.5 years of related chemotherapy experience required
Pediatric Infusion experience preferred
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred.
BCLS required
Position requires float to all MSK Long Island Regional Locations, if necessary.
