NURSE CLINICIAN – Hematology/Oncology

Compassion, Courtesy and Detail-Oriented…

These are the traits you possess to care for our culturally diverse chemotherapy patients. You don’t talk up or down to people; you engage them with your very human approach that speaks to their needs, concerns, and intellect. You “get through” to them by being genuinely empathetic and straightforward. You also know how to inspire and facilitate dialogue that builds trust with your patients and team members.

Collaborating with the Chief of Hematology/Oncology and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, you will manage the clinical and administrative functions of the Infusion Center. Working in an inpatient and outpatient setting, you will provide evidence-based nursing care and ensure that patients are treated effectively and efficiently. You will also perform comprehensive nursing assessments, education, and direct patient care; guide and support the clinical staff; maintain proper inventory levels and accurate billing.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Have current NYS RN license and BCLS certification
  • Completed a course in the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy
  • 2+ years’ experience in an Infusion Center and certification from Oncology Nursing Society preferred

You never forget that people are what matter most

You bring the compassion and professionalism to the service you provide. And you appreciate the need to focus on the long-term by nurturing relationships. We will greatly value your unwavering commitment to quality patient care. Let's talk about how you can thrive in our organization.
