Shriners Hospitals for Children, Cincinnati, is moving to Dayton!

We are seeking three full time pediatric hospitalists (MD or DO) with ICU training to share night and weekend coverage for burns and plastic reconstructive patients. Duties will range from postoperative care to acute management of both critical and non-critical patients. Critical care management can require ventilator management, fluid and vasopressor adjustments, and central line placements. Must be Ohio licensed, BE or BC Pediatrician.

  • Serve in a hospitalist function
  • Provide comprehensive health care for assigned hospitalized pediatric burn and plastic surgery patients (includes ventilator management, fluid management and inotropic support for ICU patients)Perform History and Physicals, Discharge summaries and other chart documentations
  • Cultivating communication between the hospitalist team and the hospital
  • Participate multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate and plan patient care
  • Participate in daily standup meeting with hospitalist team to ensure communication and implementation of patient plan of care
  • Coordinate care of selected patients with hospitalist team and hospital departments (e. g., nursing, quality, case management, clinical documentation, pharmacy)
  • Make each individual feel valued for contributions
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner
