The Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Division of Gynecologic Specialties is seeking a Division Director, who will lead the clinical, administrative, educational, and research goals of thesub-specialist division.The positionis tenure eligible and will hold thefaculty rank of Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.The Division of Gynecologic Specialties include faculty with training and certification of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery (MIGS), Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology(PAG), and Menopausal Therapy (NAMS).Thefaculty will promote and develop training and education programs within our academic mission.The ideal candidate will bring expertise in MIGS to the division and spearhead efforts to improve opportunities for training for MIGS including development of a MIGS fellowship in the futureas well as support the current growingPAGprogram.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Chair of the Department, develop a comprehensive strategy and plan for the growth and development of the divisions clinical, educational, and research activities.
  • In partnership with the Chair of the Department and Director of Administrative Operations, manage the Administrative, Finance, Research, and Clinical operations for the division.
  • Develop the divisions faculty with emphasis on quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participate in the clinical services initiatives of the Emory Healthcare systemas well as Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
  • Progress and develop new research opportunities for the providers in the division with focus on original research in gynecologic subspecialties.
  • Advance education missions for gynecologic subspecialties within formal fellowship programs toexpandclinical expertise at Emory Healthcare
  • Provide a broad spectrum of gynecologic care to medically complex patients.
  • Perform advanced gynecologic surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques.
  • Participate in the direct supervision and training of faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.



Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree (MD or DO), successfully completed a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) is preferred. Minimum offouryears of leadership experience as well as a minimum ofeightyearsofexperience. Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment. Demonstrated leadership skills necessary to complement and expand the existing clinical and academic programs.
