POSITION SUMMARY:

      The Behavioral Health Staff Registered Nurse holds a shift accountability to provide direct patient

      care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the established policies and  

      procedures of Southwestern Medical Center; maintains clinical competencies through continuing

      education and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience

      of available staff.

 

 

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION :

• Must possess a current Registered Nurse License for the State of Oklahoma
• Current BCLS/Pediatric First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
• MAB (Managing Aggressive Behavior) within 30 days of hire
• NIH Stroke within 30 days of hire
• OK R&R within 30 days of hire
• Valid Drivers License issued by the State of Oklahoma (if applicable)

     EDUCATION:

• Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program

        DEGREE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:

 

Involves general guidance and directions by DON. The RN is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
