Summary

Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking an Hourly Locum Optometrist to join our Optometry team. This position is based at our Federal Way Medical Center in Federal Way, Washington.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited School of Optometry and preferably have completed a one-year Optometry Residency program. Optometrists at Kaiser Permanente provide full-scope eye care in a multi-disciplinary setting, including the diagnosis and management of ocular health and visual function as well as ophthalmic manifestations of systemic disease and medications.

The city of Federal way, population 90,147, is located in the southwestern corner of King County on a plateau between Puget Sound and the Green River Valley, approximately 25 miles south of downtown Seattle and eight miles north of downtown Tacoma. Federal Way has 31 developed parks and 19 open space parks on approximately 1,141 acres of land, and also boasts the BPA and West Campus trails totaling nearly 3.5 miles. Steeped in natural beauty, Federal Way is home to lush gardens, from the nationally renowned Pacific Bonsai Museum to the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden and the seasonal garden of PowellsWood. With ongoing local music, theater, arts, and community events, residents and visitors have plenty of entertainment choices.
